Easter Monday Breakfast - 2018
Attendance wasn't too bad this morning. We had Sonia, Vaughn and Lydia, Juliette, George and Poppy, Janette, Anne Downton and Joan, Ron and Dot, Mary and Arthur, Rachel, Sue and Graham and others turned up to fill their boots with a delicious breakfast.
It was all cooked by and provided by Shirley, Maureen and Dot, who were smiling away as they dished up. Thank-you so much to you both for being up early cooking.
We had great table service too from Arthur (who did it all one armed!) and Mary who waited on us all and asked us what we all wanted to eat and promptly served us.
It wasn't the best morning to be going out for a walk but some of us braved it and put on our wellies for a right old romp in the countryside come mud come rain.
We were a little worried about Philip as he did not turn up as expected but we got through to him and all was well, he just forgot! How could he forget about this spread of wonderful food? We forgive you Philip, you were missed and we were just glad that you were OK!
Those of us who were reluctant to go out for a walk stayed behind and did the washing up and tidied up the school room. What great team work!
Thank-you to everyone who contributed their time to help out. You made it a great Easter Monday!
Easter Monday Breakfast - 2019
Attendance wasn't as good this morning as in previous years but then we had been so busy this week, it wasn't that surprising attendance was low. We had Sonia, her Dad and partner, Vaughn and Lydia, Philip, Anne Downton and Joan, Ron, Mary and Arthur, Rachel, Sue and Graham and a young man whom I presume to be a relative of Ann Downton? all turned up to fill their udges with a delectable breakfast.
It was all cooked by and provided by Shirley, Maureen and Dot, who were smiling away as they dished up. Thank-you so much to you both for being up early cooking.
We had as usual, great service too from Arthur and Mary who made sure we got our orders in.
It was a glorious day to be going out for a walk, but many of us did not go and elected to do the washing up instead.
We make a great team, thanks to all who cooked, served and cleared up. You made Monday morning a great one!
